The Green Party has great potential to link up with many non-profit organizations to propose specific policies for the national, statewide and local levels. This would give the Green Party more visibility and would further increase our public image and credibility as a real “player” in the public policy arena, not simply an opinionated outsider. Our Green candidates could run on these proposals to gain support from voters.

Despite remarkable strides in renewable-energy technologies, the transition from climate-wrecking fossil fuels to energy efficiency, sunlight and wind power is taking far too long. The Number One obstacle: the market prices of coal, oil and gas include almost none of the costs of carbon pollution. A briskly rising U.S. carbon tax/fee will transform energy investment, re-shape consumption, and sharply reduce the carbon emissions that are driving global warming. Partner with the Carbon Tax Center (http://www.carbontax.org/) on developing a strategy.

I believe it’s too late to do it gradually. It must be dme by suddenly and immediately NATIONALIZING ENERGY – and outlawing all export of energy products or resources..
