Help us defend our ballot line

Today is the first General election we are participating in since we became an officially recognized political party in Missouri! Having statewide ballot access, allowed our 11 endorsed candidates to focus completely on campaigning instead of having to spend months gathering signatures to get on the ballot. Our ballot line is key part of our strategy for building independent working class power in Missouri. Help us defend that achievement by voting for our statewide candidates, Jo Crain for US Senate and Don Fitz for State Auditor! If either of them get over 2% of the vote, we have statewide ballot access until 2022. Continue reading

Vote Today, 6 AM - 9 PM. Green Party. Row D. Defy Cuomo and Trump

Vote today as if our Lives Depended on it. They do. Please vote Row D, Green Party. Most important is our ticket of Howie Hawkins and Jia Lee. Only votes for Governor / Lt Gov count towards the 50,000 threshold needed to continue as a ballot qualified party, which makes it much easier for us to field candidates. Continue reading

Missouri, Don't Embrace Fascism. Vote Green

On Friday November 2nd, Democrat Claire McCaskill's campaign manager contacted Jo Crain, the Missouri Green Party candidate for US Senate, to ask her to concede to help McCaskill beat Republican Josh Hawley. Jo courageously declined and pointed out in her video response that she is the only progressive option in the 5-way US Senate race. The Democrats do not own your votes! Continue reading

Urgent Press Release: Greenfield denounces Republican PAC dirty trick

It has come to my attention that today I became the unwitting, unwilling "beneficiary" of a Republican PAC in Texas that has delivered $49,000 worth of mailers, robocalls, and social media ads exclusively to registered Democrats in New York's 19th Congressional District, attacking Antonio Delgado, and comparing him unfavorably to me. This expenditure is almost 50 times my total advertising budget. The messages are not from me, my campaign, or any PAC supporting me. They are not from the Green Party or any PAC supporting us. They are from Republicans (details below). Continue reading

Michael Moore casts vote for Green Tom Mair

On Thursday, filmmaker Michael Moore completed his ballot, choosing Grand Traverse County Commissioner Tom Mair, an elected Green, during a live broadcast of the program "Late Night with Seth Meyers" on NBC. On the program, Moore offered his thoughts about non-voters, encouraging them to participate in the upcoming election while completing his ballot. Following the event Moore talked about his choices, saying "I voted live on Seth Myers last night with my Michigan absentee ballot ... Tom Mair for County Commissioner." Moore resides in Grand Traverse County, where Mair is currently an elected Green. Mair won the seat in 2016. Continue reading

Restoring public trust and healing the deep wounds

This year, I have had the honor of representing the Indiana Green Party as their candidate for Secretary of State. I chose to ally myself with the Green Party because I personally resonate with its core values of grassroots democracy, ecological wisdom, social justice and nonviolence. I have traveled around the state over the past nine months meeting many thoughtful and concerned citizens, people of all colors and creeds, from many ethnic backgrounds and economic levels. Campaigning has taught me the value of personal connection, and how everyone is important in our great country.  Continue reading

Green Party candidates call to cut military budget 50% to re-invest in NY domestic needs

Albany, NY – Green Party candidates in New York called today for at least a 50% cut in the federal military budget in order to free up funds to invest in combatting climate change and meeting other domestic needs such as education, infrastructure and housing. "Cutting the military budget is far more important to the well-being of New York residents than Cuomo's attempts to enable wealthy taxpayers to continue to deduct state and local taxes. Almost two-thirds of the federal discretionary budget now goes to the military budget, which is primarily a bi-partisan deal for pork-barrel spending," stated Howie Hawkins, the Green Party candidate for Governor. Invisibility of Incumbency - When Congress does not speak for you.

This race is about a crisis — a crisis in justice, ecology, peace and democracy. The time is now to change our habits, raise our expectations, and stop accepting the status quo. The status quo is not what we want or need, and that was true even before Trump’s terrible time in office. The way we habitually use our power does not serve us, or our children and their children. What power am I talking about? Wallet power, rally power, organizing power, and voting power. The collective of our individual power is a force we can use. Please feel free to forward this message.
