What are we?
The Coordinated Campaign Committee (CCC) is a standing committee of the USGP that cooperates with state and local chapters in the support of federal, state, and local Green Party electoral campaigns.

Technical Assistance for Green Candidates

The CCC is here to…

  • provide material support to campaigns when possible;

  • help train chapters in running successful campaigns (from finding the right candidate to getting people to the polls on election day);

  • keep various campaigns in communication with each other, so that resources and wisdom can be shared;

  • help determine which races are most important in a state or region; to help states attain and maintain ballot access;

  • learn from previous campaigns and build for future ones; and

  • advise candidates and campaign support people to the best of our ability, or to link them up with experts when needed.

What do we do?
The CCC is pursuing many different programs and paths to increase the number of Green officeholders nationwide, including…

  • targeting specific campaigns (based on written applications) that are winnable, strategically important, or otherwise noteworthy, and providing those campaigns with matching funds or other support;

  • maintaining a campaign hotline which candidates and campaign managers can call with specific questions;

  • linking up aspiring interns with interested campaigns;

  • maintaining a campaign manual (available for downloading from this website), with information specifically geared to running grassroots Green campaigns;

  • helping states to recruit candidates, or to develop strategies for recruitment;

  • assisting financially and otherwise in running regional campaign training schools (and helping with statewide trainings without committing financial resources);

  • forming a network of state associates, to keep information about states' campaign efforts as current as possible and readily available to other states;

  • conducting a ballot access campaign for interested states, through our Ballot Access Working Group

  • maintaining a database of candidates and officeholders on our website, to increase public awareness of Green campaigns and victories; and

  • assembling and analyzing data from past and current campaigns, to assess our strengths and weaknesses and to aid the Green Party in becoming an electoral force, from the local to the national level.

Who are we?
The Coordinated Campaign Committee is composed of 10 voting members drawn from affiliated state parties. CCC members are selected annually by the members of the Coordinating Committee, and may be members of that committee or of an affiliated state party; no state shall have in excess of one member on the CCC. Vacancies on the CCC are filled by the Steering Committee. The members of the CCC annually elect up to three co-chairs from among its members.

The Coordinated Campaign Committee works with a pool of CCC Associates; these include one liaison from each affiliated state party not already represented on the CCC as well as staff or other persons necessary to the productivity of the CCC who shall be chosen as deemed appropriate by the CCC. Associates may participate in CCC discussions and meetings as needed but are not regular voting members of the CCC.
