Greenline: October 2009

Greens Need Your Help to Get Elected Next Week

Next Tuesday is Election Day in many cities, counties and states. Over 150 Green Party candidates are running for city boards, county commissions, and many other local and county positions. With every Green elected to local office we get one step closer to elected Greens as Governor, state representative, and members of the United States Congress. They need your help in the last few days of the campaign!

Please visit our comprehensive elections database to find a candidate in your area. Call them up and offer a few hours of your time this weekend to make some phone calls on their behalf, pass out literature in your neighborhood, wave a campaign sign on busy street corner, or write a last-minute letter to the editor on behalf of your local Green Party candidate. On Wednesday, search our candidate database for 2010 candidates in your area and volunteer to help them start campaigning for next year's election now!

Help Us Reach Our Sustainer Goal

Help us reach the goal we set at our national meeting of funding our operations with the help of 500 sustainers giving $10,000 a month by the end of 2009. Sustaining pledges of $10 or $20 a month from everyone who reads this message will let us do so much more to support campaigns, candidates, state Green Parties, and our own national outreach efforts. Click here to become a sustaining donor to the Green Party today!

If you are unable to give a monthly gift please donate what you can today to strengthen our voice so that we can make our vision a reality. With your help we can provide support for candidates, spread the Green message and work for a more just and sustainable world. If you have given recently, please consider giving more. And, if you haven't given in some time, please consider making today the day you give.
