Peter LaVenia is the co-chair of the Green Party of New York. He has a PhD in Political Science from the University at Albany, SUNY. He has been active in Green politics for years as a campaign manager, candidate, and party official.

He has also been an organizer for consumer activist Ralph Nader. Peter currently resides in Albany, NY.
