Are you serious about honest voting?

Election justice is a topic that has been circulating in public discussions as of late. Folks are unhappy with questionable practices on behalf of Election Inspectors such as using a waste can for votes in Ionia or huge discrepancies with vote totals in Detroit. Jill Stein spearheaded a recount of last year's election. Michiganders across the state are calling for electoral reforms including an end to gerrymandering of voting districts. Continue reading

Green Party Candidate Enters Maine's Governor's Race

Green Party candidate Betsy Marsano today kicked off her campaign to win the party's nomination in Maine's 2018 governor's race. The Waldo resident told reporters at a State House news conference Tuesday that Maine needs new leadership. Waterford Green & Democratic Candidates Endorsed by State Teachers' Union

  On Thursday, October 12, 2017, the American Federation of Teachers Connecticut Chapter voted to endorse two candidates in the upcoming Waterford municipal election: Deb Roselli Kelly for Board of Education and Joshua Steele Kelly for Representative Town Meeting in District 3. Deb is currently an assistant principal at East Lyme High School, and Josh is an MPA candidate at the University of Connecticut. These were the only two candidates running in Waterford, from any political party, to be endorsed by the union, which is the organization that represents the teachers in the Waterford Public School system. In the letter of endorsement from Teri Merisotis, AFT's Connecticut's Legislative Advocate, Teri stated that the decision was based on the candidates' "commitment to working families and advocating for issues that are important to AFT Connecticut's members. Such as; protecting public sector jobs, maintaining quality public education, and protecting collective bargaining for workers." Continue reading
