Raise Money for your State’s Green Party!

The Green Party of the United States is pleased to offer a menu of fundraising programs for State Green parties to raise money. State Green Parties now have the opportunity to use many of the fundraising tools that the national uses in order to benefit the Green Party at the state and national level.

How Does the State Fundraising Program Work?

State Green Parties now have the opportunity to use many of the fundraising tools that the national uses in order to benefit the Green Party at the state and national level.

The national office will work with your state party to set up a custom on-line donation page to post on state and local webpages, blogs, email blasts, etc.

The national office handles the set-up and administrative side of things (including mailing of thank you letters, Green Pages subscriptions, and any additional premiums associated with the specific state fundraising program).

The state party handles promotion.

State Parties receive 60% of all Contributions

he national receive 40% (All of the overhead cost related to the program comes out of the 40% going to the national).

Menu of State Sharing Programs

Listed below are the programs currently available for state sharing. The list will be updated as new programs are added:

Green Party Card Program
For $36 or more a year, the contributor receives a personalized card showing the world that they stand committed to Green values. A subscription to Green Pages, a bumper sticker, button and information about party history, committees and caucuses is also included. Most importantly, they get the contact information to your state so that the new supporter can get involved and active as a Green. We also send contact information to your state so that you can get them involved immediately. The national office will send a renewal letter every year. The majority of Green Party Card holders are new donors to the party. This program is a great way to get new people involved in the Green Party.

Sustainer Program
Green Party Sustainers are supporters who contribute $10 or more monthly, or $25 or more quarterly to the Green Party. They are truly the foundation of the party. By building the sustainer program, we can have a reliable ongoing source of income that can be used to fund the ongoing expense related to running the party (on a state level or national level), allowing for additional revenue towards funding special projects. All of our sustainers receive an exclusive sustainer lapel pin, and a subscription to Green Pages.

Green Pages
For $20 or more a year the supporter receives a subscription to Green Pages so that they can stay informed about the Green Party nationally and globally.

Merchandise
The Merchandise Committee offers a bulk merchandise program which allows your state party to buy Green Party materials at a discount and resell it for a profit. We also offer a tabling kit which includes a “how-to” notebook with a sampling of Green Party merchandise, literature holders, templates, and everything else you need to set-up a merchandise table

How to Build the Program?

On-Line
Once the national office works with you to set-up custom donate pages, it’s your job to promote the programs. Post your donate pages on your state and local webpages, in email newsletters, and in blogs.

In-Person
The national office will provide donation form templates or printed forms for you to circulate at meetings, house parties, or other community events.
