Butch Ware: They Falsified Evidence to Silence Us – Here’s How We Strike Back

They had our complete tax returns the whole time. The Secretary of State submitted falsified emails into court evidence. None of that mattered to the judge, because the only thing that matters now is that we are five points behind the leading Democrats, and they are terrified. Continue reading

Tony Dastra: Honoring International Transgender Visibility Day

March 31st was International Transgender Visibility Day. It was by some degree of mistake that last year I came out as non-binary. I hadn’t thought about how races group by gender and when I ran a local 5K, I selected non-binary. I had been doing this on forms for years depending on the scope, so this was the first time I publicly gave any indication; I decided not to walk it back. I think I bring a unique perspective to these conversations, and at some other point in time I’m happy to say more detail, but not too much here and now. Continue reading

Butch Ware: Pack the Court

Pack the court! don't let them block Butch & the Green Party from the ballot! Join us & show your support for Butch at the public hearing for our case against the secretary of state! They’re trying to kick me off the CA governor ballot over a phone number on my tax return. I had 10 minutes to correct it, or be disqualified. I’m 8 points off the lead. They’re terrified of a Black Muslim anti‑Zionist who will divest from war and pass CalCare.  Continue reading

Campaign Statement on Treatment of Brian McGinnis, Green Party Candidate at US Senate Hearing

The Domestic War Machine Will Never Be Satiated The violent removal of Marine veteran and Green Party Senate candidate Brian McGinnis from last Wednesday’s Senate Armed Services hearing exposed the deep-seated issues facing the US political system. McGinnis valiantly protested the root of the problem, shouting, “America does not want to send its sons and daughters to war for Israel!” His voice represented the 60% of Americans who reject the current status of US foreign intervention, yet he was met with brute force. Pete Karas: Two-Party System Has Had Decades to Act on Climate — and Has Failed

Muskego, WI — Wisconsin Secretary of State candidate Pete Karas is criticizing both elected Republicans and Democrats for what he calls a long-standing failure to confront climate change despite decades of political control and opportunity. "The two-party system has had years — really, decades — to take meaningful action on climate change, and it simply hasn't happened," Karas said. "Elected Republicans have minimized the problem or treated it as an economic inconvenience, while elected Democrats acknowledge the threat but move too slowly and compromise away the scale of action that's needed."
