Black Lives Matter

From our platform ...

We understand that until significant steps are taken to reverse the ongoing abuses; to end the criminalization of the Black and Brown communities, to eradicate poverty, to invest in education, health care and the restoration and protection of human rights, that it will be impossible to repair the continuing damage wrought by the ideology of white supremacy which permeates the governing institutions of our nation.

From the mission statement of the Black Caucus of the Green Party of the United States ...

The mission of the Black Caucus of the Green Party of the United States is to maximize the participation of men and women of African and African American descent in the political and policy-making process of the Green Party of the United States. It is further to introduce the Ten Key Green Values and the Green Party Platform to the African American community. The mission of GPUS Black Caucus is to increase the participation and election victories in United States electoral politics of African and African Americans who support the GPUS Platform, and to ensure that the GPUS conducts and implements programs that concretize its platform in the interests of communities of African-American and African descent addressing community needs and disparities.

By The Bronx Green Party

Eric Duprey died about two miles from me, in the University Heights section of the Bronx. The 30 year old Duprey was killed – it is reported – after he fled a drug bust on his scooter, which he used to deliver for DoorDash and UberEats.

The Bronx Greens hereby condemn the recent charges against the African People’s Socialist Party (the Uhuru Movement). As citizens and patriots, we call out these indictments as inherently:

  • Racist
  • A violation of US rights to freedom of association
  • An outright transgression of the First Amendment – and human rights overall

The Green Party of St. Louis fully agrees with the right of African people to advocate and organize for the unification, liberation and self-determination of Africa and African People as laid out in the "Principles of Unity."

The FBI raid of July 29, 2022 was not just against the African People's Socialist Party (APSP). It was an attack on all working for social justice and liberation.

WASHINGTON, DC — The Green Party of the United States National Black Caucus condemned Akron police officers' killing of Jayland Walker on June 27, 2022. Police officers fired more than 90 bullets at Walker. He was not carrying a weapon when shot at and killed. Police initially claimed that he had fired at them. The gun in question did not have Walker's prints on it and was found to be registered to a white man living in another part of Ohio.

Green Party U.S. Senate candidate, Matthew Hoh, and his campaign team, extend their deepest sympathies to all the families and loved ones of 10 slain victims of white supremacist murderer, Payton Gendron on May 14th in Buffalo, New York.

But it's not enough to extend our sympathies unless we also confront the systemic racism that led to these horrific murders.

WASHINGTON, DC — The Green Party of the United States stands in coalition with all who seek to end the culture of violence and politics of corruption that enable violent extremists.

Did you know that many members of the North Carolina Green Party are organizers for Social Justice, against the War On Drugs and Mass Incarceration, for a World Beyond War and a Living Wage?
