Early Campaign Development
February 23, 2020
9:00 p.m. Eastern
So, you want to run for office this year but where to get started? With some preliminary thought and work, you can prepare a basic campaign outline and strategy that provide an efficient and organized structure to work with, and enable your campaign to operate as a model of Green/progressive organizing and community building - many "wins" are possible.
This conference call is designed for declared candidates, and especially those considering a run for office this year with the Green Party. Those who are (or plan to be) key support staff or volunteers are also welcome to join. This particular session will focus on:
- assembling a campaign team
- initial financial set-up (i.e. registering your committee, getting IRS EIN, opening a bank account)
- hosting an announcement/kick-off
This call will be hosted by Hillary Kane, member of the Coordinated Campaign Committee. Hillary became an active Green in 2000, and since that time has worked on several campaigns from local to statewide to national office. Hillary also serves as the Green Party US national treasurer.
Please RSVP in advance of the call on the gp.org website. You will receive an immediate auto-confirmation from our online system, which includes the log-in information. This notification will go to the email address we have on file for you. If you do not get the information for the call, email [email protected].
