Proposal We call upon the Green Party US to make a public statement, and sign onto the Peace In Ukraine Coalition Petition that is supported by over 180 organization worldwide that calls for Biden, Putin and Zelensky to engage in an Immediate Ceasefire, Peace Negotiations, and No More Weapons to Ukraine. This call for immediate ceasefire, peace negotiations, and an end to sending weapons to Ukraine is in line with the Green Party US Pillar of Peace, Key Value of Non-Violence, and Party Platform of Peace and Disarmament. Background Railroad Workers United (RWU) has requested organizations including the Green Party of the United States to endorse its resolution calling for public ownership of US railroads. Public ownership of railroads, to be run for the public good, is a key demand of workers. United Electrical has for example issued a statement in support of this key demand. RWU expects a nationwide campaign for public ownership to launch in the near future and has requested endorsement consideration as soon as possible within Green Party’s typical rules and procedures.
