According to the Black VegFest press page, "The reliance on animals and corporations that push them as commodities has truly hurt our health, savings and our spirituality. The Rescue Pacifica slate is composed of Greens and progressives whose mission is to preserve KPFA's and Pacifica's independent, rebellious, and uncensored voice. The Violence of Nuclear Energy by Co-chair Alan Smith, Green Party of Pennsylvania I awaken, head to the bathroom and look out the window. A column of steam greets my eyes as it rises from a nuclear power plant. I turn to look in the mirror and put on a peace sign necklace, taking a moment to meditate. The peace symbol, first used in 1958, was derived from international semaphore code which uses flag positions to symbolize letters. The letters used are N and D representing nuclear disarmament. In order to bring about peace we must rid this planet of the use of nuclear energy. Continue reading

At the 2019 Green Party Annual National Meeting in Salem, Massachusetts, Maine resident David Gibson launched his campaign for the U.S. Senate held by Susan Collins. I feel blessed to have grown up in the great state of Maine. I never realized how lucky I was, until I moved out of state to pursue my career. I grew up hiking our beautiful mountains, swimming in our lakes, ponds and the Saco river, and exploring the woods and fields. But what really makes Maine special, is our community. Continue reading

The Committee to Elect Olivia Faison, at-large Green Party candidate for Philadelphia's City Council, has officially filed for candidacy. Although dozens of volunteers collected well over a thousand signatures, Faison will not appear on the ballot on November 5th 2019. In order to access the ballot, Democratic and Republican candidates must gather only 1000 signatures for a City Council at-large campaign. Continue reading
