We Must Stand Up Against US Imperialism and Endless War We are writing with urgency and deep concern about recent events unfolding in Venezuela, where the United States has escalated military action in a dramatic and dangerous way. In the early hours of January 3, powerful explosions and loud noises were reported throughout Caracas and surrounding areas. The Green Party of Pennsylvania (GPPA) had nominated three candidates for local office during 2025. Michael Bagdes-Canning was nominated for re-election as Mayor of Cherry Valley in Butler County. Tony Dastra was nominated for two offices, Mayor and City Councilor of Lancaster City in Lancaster County. Veterans Day highlights a harsh truth – our soldiers risk their lives for endless war to enrich the military-industrial complex. The only way to honor them is with peace. Josephine Guilbeau is a 17-year veteran and former Intelligence Officer. Anthony Aguilar is a retired U.S. Lieutenant Colonel and Special Forces Officer Green Beret who served for 25 years. They will not be silenced. Last September they demanded an end to the genocide in Gaza before a Senate Foreign Affairs Committee hearing.
