Join Wisconsin's push for ranked-choice voting!

MADISON, WI – Our political system is failing us. Polls show that almost two-thirds of US voters want a new party, but the electoral system keeps most of us choosing which of two parties is "the lesser of two evils". There is a solution: Ranked-Choice Voting (RCV). RCV allows you to rank your choices, so that if your first choice doesn't win, your vote can still count for your second choice. That way, you can vote for what you really want - instead of feeling like you have to vote for the "lesser evil" to keep an even worse candidate from winning. Continue reading

Climate Justice to Workers Rights, the Same Fight Against Exploitation

SAN FRANCISCO – Ever since the historic labor movement culminating in Chicago's 1886 Haymarket Riot and the commemorating of May Day as International Workers Day, capitalists have pushed back against workers' rights and safety, and their ability to organize. Other moments in history brought the labor movements' struggle to intersect other critical movements such as when Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. went to Memphis to support the African American sanitation workers' efforts to unionize and their strike in protest of low wages, unsafe work conditions, and their abusive white bosses. The picket signs they carried stated the simple message: “I Am A Man.” Continue reading

The Democratic Party Pursues a Purge of the Green Party from the Ballot

This will be the first of several articles that delve into the onslaught against a true democracy's ability to represent the best interests of the people. With these efforts to suppress individual and party participation, we are doomed to governance committed only to policies promoted by the self interests of a very small, unrepresentative elite power structure. Continue reading
