Freedom Ride: How Not to Celebrate Juneteenth

  • “An opportunity to discuss resistance against oppression has been turned into a substance-free feel good day.”

Juneteenth has become the latest iteration of liberal capture of Black politics, opportunistic virtue signaling, and the intentional misrepresentation of America’s history.

Massachusetts Officially Acknowledges Juneteenth

SOUTH DEERFIELD, MA – The Green-Rainbow Party (GRP) honors JuneteenthJuneteenth.gif 2021, the first year the holiday is officially recognized in Massachusetts. Juneteenth arose out of the celebrations on June 19, 1865, when the slaves of the last Confederate holdout were officially freed in Galveston Texas. It was the starting point, but nowhere near the finish line for true equality of all Americans.

The GRP Co-chairs would like to acknowledge and honor the following persons who contributed to the well-being, prosperity and freedom of all Americans.

George Floyd Anniversary

On the anniversary of George Floyd's death, here is a recent press release written by Green Party of Philadelphia GPoP City Committee member Justin Bell reacting to the Derek Chauvin verdict.

I was sitting in traffic today on Roosevelt boulevard when the verdict came in: Derek Chauvin was found guilty of murdering George Floyd. When I heard it I had trouble processing it. It wasn’t until my wife called me crying because she couldn’t believe it was real, that I started to believe it was real. After I got off I looked around to see if any other cars were listening or having reactions. I was disappointed that everyone looked miserable and wasn’t honking. For a moment I felt victorious. Overwhelmed by the power of the people who refused to get out of the way when the police told them to move. I saw two older ladies flanked by the National Guard during the height of COVID. One pushing the other in a wheelchair. They had put themselves in a situation of great risk and they had won.

Remembering George Floyd

Anniversary of the Murder Of George Floyd, MN Green Party Demands Reforms Now!

The murder of George Floyd by former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin — who has been convicted of murder — and the response by the community afterward shook the world. The Green Party of Minnesota is glad that the family of George Floyd will visit the White House. However, some of our members would feel more safe going to work, having their children play, going to school, and raising children in Minnesota and across the United States if the state and the federal government would pass meaningful legislation for Black Americans.

From Palestine To Colombia: The End Of The White World Colonial/Capitalist Project?

  • Despite The Quickening Decline Of The "West," The US And Its Junior Partners In Imperialism Are Determined To Hold Humanity Hostage To Terminal Capitalist Greed And Violence.

  • "Biden labels himself an 'Atlanticist' — shorthand for a white supremacist."

The world is shocked by the image of an eleven-story residential building in Gaza collapsing from a bomb dropped by the Israeli Defense Force, one of the most advanced armies in the world thanks to U.S. support. But in the U.S., Andrew Yang, former presidential candidate and now candidate for mayor of New York, proudly proclaims that he stands with the heroic people of Israel who are under attack from the vicious, occupied Palestinians who have no army, no rights, and no state.

A dialogue on Anti-Racism

ROCHESTER, NY – Join the Green Party of Monroe County for our monthly meeting. Our speaker will be a spokesperson from the Take It Down Coalition who will lead us in a discussion on a specific Anti-Racism approach which seeks to pursue the fundamental nature of racism and how we can both identify it within ourselves and our society then in turn work to eliminate it.

This approach rejects the usual commercialized approach that replaces a process that is real and addresses the internalized roots of racism. We will also discuss the possibilities of using such an approach in our education system.
