Green Party of New York Releases Statement on Gun Control
ALBANY, NY, 2/22/23 – 2023 has started off with a bang - literally - with 39 mass shootings in the first 3 weeks of the new year. “On the eve of the 5th year anniversary of the Marjory Stoneman High School mass shooting, Michigan State University campus became the next scene of carnage,” said Gloria Mattera, Green Party of New York (GPNY) co-chair.
“While elected officials from the Democratic and Republican parties pat themselves on the back for passing the feeble Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the killing continues,” added Peter LaVenia, GPNY co-chair.

PA Green Party candidate to meet voters in House District #32
Hello. My name is Zarah Livingston, and I am campaigning to be the PA Representative for District 32. I plan to meet the voters while knocking on doors in Oakmont, Penn Hills, Plum and Verona, and I am sure that we will build a close relationship.
I hope to be a Green Party representative who actually feels close to the community. Then, I will be able to formally address the ongoing gun violence with practical programs for youth and their parents. I plan to make it easier for my constituents to access public information, for example campaign records, public funds information, etc.

PHILADELPHIA – 2021 is off to a bad start for Philadelphia. The murder rate is unnerving, and we are only three months in. The city is on its way to setting a new record that no city wants to hold. A staggering murder rate. The shootings have begun to happen throughout the day rather than at night which used to be peak crime hours. Our local officials are baffled. They purpose the same old ideas: curfews, more police, etc. The tactics they propose would seem to show a complete misunderstanding of the cause. Do they really not get it or is this system they designed working?
