First, we got the news that we WILL be on the ballot in Georgia. The Secretary of State wrote a letter confirming that we qualified - we beat another of the anti-democratic party’s attempts to kick Jill and Butch off the ballot!!

Is Democracy on the ballot? Third-party suppression a problem

The Democratic Party often rightfully condemns Republicans for suppressing votes at the ballot box, but they are guilty of suppressing voters’ choices by filing frivolous lawsuits to prevent independent and third-party candidates from being on the ballot.

“The single biggest threat that helps put Trump back in the White House is third-party candidates …” said Joe Trippi in an NBC News report. The Party accurately accuses Trump of being an existential threat to our “democracy,” but it is too.

Jill Stein Slams Nevada Supreme Court After Green Party Suffers Big Blow In Ballot Battle

Carson City, Nevada - The Nevada State Supreme Court has ruled to bar Dr. Jill Stein and the Green Party from the ballot in 2024.

In their 5-2 decision, justices ruled that the Green Party should not appear on November ballots because the petition forms they used did not include a line for signatories to attest that they are registered voters in their county of residence.

Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty Criticizes “Undemocratic” Effort To Deny Green Party Ballot Access In Wisconsin

The News: The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL) is strongly condemning the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) attempt to remove the Green Party candidate, Jill Stein, from the presidential ballot in Wisconsin. WILL hopes the Supreme Court of Wisconsin considers the arguments we lay out in our amicus brief that we will file tomorrow morning and denies the DNC’s effort to disenfranchise tens of thousands of Wisconsin voters.

Montana Dems sue to get Green Party Senate candidate off the ballot

The Montana Democratic Party sued the secretary of state and the state of Montana on Thursday to get the Green Party's Senate candidate removed from general election ballots. 

The Democrats are asking a judge to permanently bar Republican Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen from certifying any Green Party candidate in the Senate election, including who was slated to be on the ballot, Darby resident Robert Barb.

As we celebrate today, let us remember the growing militarization of municipal and state police forces, supported by grants of weaponry and equipment from the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security, the extensive operations of government that are conducted in secret, especially within the federal executive branch, including the national security apparatus and so-called “black budget” expenditures, that get little oversight from Congress, let alone the general public; and the growing restrictions on freedom of speech, including those resulting from the privatization or other loss of formerly public spaces where people may gather, discuss issues, petition and otherwise exchange ideas.

Politics has long been an incubator for hypocrisy, but efforts by Nevada Democrats to keep competitors off the November ballot are particularly shameless.
