Peace activist and candidate for US Senate Matthew Hoh and Dr. Jill Stein, pioneering environmental health advocate and the Green Party's candidate for President in 2012 and 2016 recently hosted an on-line conversation.

Jill and Matt spoke about the current moment of crisis in Ukraine and demanded that we build an independent political movement for people, planet, and peace over profit.

Public areas such as parks, playgrounds and schoolyards are routinely sprayed with various chemicals to control insects and plants. Evidence has mounted showing that these chemicals damage human health. Pesticides tend to be used disproportionately in African American communities.

• A conversation between US, Russian and Ukrainian Peace activists

Corporate media in the US has been warning about a possible invasion of Ukraine by Russia. This, Russia denies. But this propaganda has been used by the Biden Administration to whip up sentiment for war. Billions of dollars of US arms have been sent to Ukraine, Ukraine has massed an estimated 145,000 troops on the Russian border with US “advisors” supporting their effort.

The International Committee of the Green Party US with The Green Party of Florida and The Green Party of New Jersey recently participated in an online workshop on Rights of Nature and Antarctica Rights held on February 5, 2022. The workshop was part of the 2022 Global Greens Virtual Conference, Connecting For Green Action. 

Green Parties and allies across the globe will advance Rights of Nature initiatives and participate in the democratically-created Declaration for the Rights of Antarctica to be launched on Earth Day, April 22, 2022, for adoption by states and civil society across the globe.

The EcoAction Committee of the Green Party of the United States held a webinar on why it supports the goal of Real Zero Greenhouse gas Emissions rather than Net Zero on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

Featured speakers were David Schwartzman and Mike Ewall. David Schwartzman, a member of the DC Statehood Green Party, is a professor emeritus of biology at Howard University and the author of Life, Temperature, and the Earth. David and his older son Peter Schwartzman (Mayor of Galesburg IL, member of the Illinois Green Party) just had their paper published "Can the 1.5 °C warming target be met in a global transition to 100% renewable energy?"
