“Corporations” includes organizations like the Green Party. We must not throw away our collective rights (such as free speech) in our effort to bring big-money corporations to heel. The tax and anti-trust laws are the way to discipline them, together with a Constitutional amendment authorizing the Congress impartially to regulate spending on campaigns for federal office.

This should be one of the VERY TOP PRIORITIES. It would be good for the entire nation. It is absolutely necessary for the Green Party’s future. The broad range of American people would support this. The Green Party should position ourselves as ordinary Americans’ champion for this issue!

The Citizens United supreme court decision is a deterrent to achieving a representative government for all of the people.

The Corporate Charter was never intended to be “Durable.” It was recognized as a necessary evil, Ad Hoc for only ONE certain large civic project (bridge, skyscraper etc.,) and then expired, to be regulated severely and easily revoked locally if its activities proved or threatened harm to the economy or society. I think we can all agree it has proven far beyond that in almost every instance. Jefferson warned of this, and we did not listen. Now it has corrupted government and law itself. The size of business, wealth and industry MUST be capped and curtailed. A weaker power cannot hope to reguilate a larger, stronger, richer one. Many essentials need to be nationalized.
