George Paz Martin, age 77, passed to the other side on Sunday, July 16, 2023. He was born in the Philippines on March 24, 1946 to Paz and Delmar Martin.

George is survived by his sons Dakin (Jessica) Martin and DJ (Heidi) Brooks; grandson Desi Brooks; siblings Alan (Ellen) Martin, Bruce (Karen) Martin and Francisca Martin; nieces and nephews; and his partner Julie Enslow.

He was preceded in death by his parents Paz and Delmar Martin; siblings Dale, Pacita, Keith, Paz, Delmar and Craig; nephew Patrick and niece Aja.

Raised in Milwaukee as the oldest of ten children, George attended Marquette High School and Marquette University.

George was an organizer, leader and passionate orator for peace and justice. He was committed to nonviolence and the teachings of Dr. M. L. King, Jr. His work and leadership over the years with economic development, civil rights, homeless vets, anti-war, nuclear disarmament, the Green Party and climate action made a powerful impact locally, nationally, and internationally.
