There are Climate Strike events planned Friday in Appleton, Ashland, Baraboo, Eau Claire, Hortonville, Janesville, La Crosse, Madison, Milwaukee and Stevens Point – check out the Youth Climate Action Team WI page for details and join the Global Climate Strike!
If you can't physically attend an event, you can still be a part of the strike, organizers are asking supporters everywhere to strike for 11 minutes in recognition of the fact that we have only 11 years to avert climate catastrophe.
Another important need is to share the #ClimateStrike on social media to help bring this critical message to millions of people who won't see it in the corporate media.
Finally, when you show up Green to your local Climate Strike event, bring along some copies of our excellent Green New Deal flyer that explains why our people and planet need the real Green New Deal - not the watered-down knockoff version.
