One of the key items on the agenda for the upcoming January 21 convention, is the election of new members of the State Coordinating Committee.  We need your fresh ideas and initiatives.  This is what grassroots democracy is about.

This year we are also proactive with the May 2023 races.  An active campaigns committee is getting lists of open races and connecting with allied organizations to identify races and candidates to support.

Email the Conventions Committee if you need special accommodations or to submit agenda items for consideration.  Proposals must by submitted at least 30 days prior to Convention. However, agenda items may be added on the day of, and by a vote of the convention.

We strive to reach consensus, so you can have a voice in the decisions; we use a modified consensus process.  We go to a vote only when there is a group unwilling to stand aside; this avoids stalemates.
