An outrageous attack on democracy
With nothing more than a swipe of a pen in a single sentence, The Supreme Court of the United States has allowed the Nevada Supreme Court to deny a real choice to millions of voters in Nevada.
We submitted over 29,000 signatures in Nevada, almost three times the required threshold for ballot access. Hard working petitioners braved the sweltering heat to collect signatures of voters who want more democratic choices on the ballot. But after all this hard work, in swooped the anti-Democratic Party with one of their many lawsuits to kick us off the ballot.

Some media outlets are simply saying “the Green Party used the wrong paperwork.” But here’s the real story: we submitted the correct petition form to the Nevada Secretary of State (a Democrat), they instructed us to use the wrong form, and then the Democrats sued us for using that form! As our legal brief to the Supreme Court said, this violates our constitutional rights by allowing “the government to tell someone to stand on a carpet and then pull that carpet out from under them.” The Stein/Ware campaign has been besieged by lawfare and dirty tricks by the anti-Democratic Party because we’re challenging empire with the only anti-genocide, pro-worker, climate emergency campaign that will be a choice for voters all over the nation. We’ve been able to beat back their attacks on democracy in Wisconsin, Georgia, and most recently New Hampshire. Because of supporters like you, we’ve not only survived, but we continue to thrive. Now we need your support to get the word out to the over 90% of voters who will have Jill and Butch on the ballot that they don’t have to vote for the duopoly candidates of war and Wall Street, and make sure that they know they can vote their values this November. |

We are just $4,000 short of our goal for creating an ad to get our message out to people across the country. A majority of voters will have an anti-genocide, pro-worker, climate emergency administration as an option in November, but many still don’t know about Jill and Butch. An ad will help us get the word out. |

Without a write-in option, we encourage our Nevada supporters to vote “None Of The Above” to register their support of Jill and Butch’s campaign for people, planet and peace and defy this travesty of justice. But we won’t stop fighting just because the anti-Democratic Party succeeded in disenfranchising voters in one state. Instead, we’re asking everyone to double down on voting Green to build the movement for real democracy.
