What's next for the local Green Party?

What are your ideas for increasing the visibility and the influence of the Greens? What do you think are the key issues we should address? What would you like to do to help us grow?

We'll brainstorm and do some planning.

The meeting will also include a 20 minute presentation on voting systems and election law to increase the influence of minor parties (see below).

Colorado Election Law: Trends and Prognosis

Harry Hempy will survey aspects of Colorado Election law of particular interest to minor parties, grassroots activists, and unaffiliated voters, including:

Citizens' Right to Initiate New Laws
Local Control or State Control
Major and Minor Political Party Affiliation
Two-party - BIPOLAR - Government
Voting Methods for Multi-candidate Elections (more than 2)
Redistricting and Proportional Representation
A discussion period will follow.
