CCC Webinar – Four Inspiring Green Party Candidates

Join us for Green Wave on June 13, 2023 at 9:00 pm Eastern to meet four inspiring Green Party candidates.  The GPUS Coordinated Campaign Committee produces Green Wave livestreams to showcase inspiring Green Party candidates who are in active campaigns.  The format is interviews followed by Q&A from the audience.


Artis Burney, Mississippi State Senate District 51, General election day Nov 7, 2023

A poet, herbalist and an activist for local control of food, water, and power in coastal Mississippi.  His local chapter of the Green Party is a strong coalition of former Democrats, Republicans, and independents who are committed to wresting political power from the corporate duopoly, currently challenging Southern Company and its subsidiary, Southern Power. Twitter

Gloria Caballero-Roca, Holyoke (MA) School Committee, General election day Nov 7, 2023

With an upbringing in Cuba and two PhD’s from the US and Spain, Dr. Caballero-Roca brings an inspiring vision of public education, with a mission to develop sophisticated critical thinkers. Margaret Elisabeth, Seattle City Council District 2, Primary election day Aug 1, 2023

25 years of ecological and social justice activism brought Margaret Elisabeth to the Green Party, where they have served the local and state bodies, the Lavendar Caucus, and the National Committee/Steering Committee since 2016.  City-wide universal health care, establishing a living wage, and fighting gentrification are several of many issues that Margaret’s campaign is focussed on. Website

Ry Armstrong, Seattle City Council District 3, Primary election day Aug 1, 2023

An advocate for sustainable development, shelter, and safety Armstrong will be the first openly queer non-binary Seattle Council member. Armstrong is active with Extinction Rebellion (XR Seattle), the Union of Concerned Scientists, and is a performing artist. They are a proud rank-and-file union member of both AEA & SAG-AFTRA who vehemently supports the current WGA strike happening across the country for writers in film and tv. Website
