FUNDRAISING
Tuesday, July 25 at 8 PM Pacific
This teleconference/webinar is designed especially for Greens who are running for office now or considering a run in the near future. This call will cover various aspects of fundraising for campaigns. This will be an interactive dialogue with participants about how to maximize financial resources for your campaign.
This call will be led by Kenneth Mejia.
Topics to be covered include:
- Developing a fundraising strategy/plan
- Ensuring your core team knows their roles in the plan
- Prioritizing your fundraising time effectively (i.e. different modes for different weather, times of day)
- The role of the candidate personally in this process
Kenneth is a 26 year-old first generation American who is a member of the Green Party and was a recent candidate for California’s Congressional District 34 special election. He ran for this same seat during the 2016 Democratic Primary as a write-in candidate with the personal encouragement of Bernie Sanders. He realized after the 2016 election that the Democratic Party did not represent him or the people he cared for most; the less fortunate. After reading on Jill Stein and the Green Party platform, he knew he was always a Green at heart. His ambition is to serve, empower, and improve the lives of the working class, millennials, people of color, immigrants, senior citizens, LGBTQIA and all of the 99%. His 2017 special election campaign raised $54,124.32 in the span of 15 weeks.
