REMINDER: DC Statehood Green Party Monthly Meeting on Thursday, May 4th
Greens from across the country gathered in Washington, DC the past two weekends for the March for Science and the People's Climate March, but our planet and our democracy is still under threat.
Join the DC Statehood Green Party for our monthly General Assembly this Thursday, May 4th at the Lamond-Riggs Library at 7:00 PM.
We are the District’s second largest party by vote total and we’ve had enough of corporate-dominated politics, but the longer we wait for change the harder it gets.
This Thursday's agenda will include updates on the Green Party's Dakota Access Pipeline divestment proposal, introduced to the City Council last month as we push Mayor Bowser and the District government to replace Wells Fargo with a public banking system (make sure to sign our petition!).
We will also hear updates on efforts to save McMillan Park, a recap from the DC May Day March and hear discussion on recent developments from WMATA.
Please make sure to RSVP on our Facebook page or website. We hope to see you there!
