NJ Presidential candidate nomination this Saturday!
The last 48 hours have been heartbreaking to see unfold across the country. Yesterday, New Jersey Greens were out participating in May Day events across the state and even in Colombia! We have a few more urgent details to share below ahead of the 2024 State & Presidential Nomination Convention.
The Green Party of New Jersey Convention agenda is posted. Annual dues extended until Friday 5/3/24 to request your Presidential Nomination ballot!

As for everyone else, the Green Party of New Jersey’s Annual Convention & Presidential Nomination is a few days away on May 4th, 2024 from 10am-4pm. It will be held in person at the Ocean County Library in Toms River, NJ. While we hope you can attend in person we will also be hybrid an allowing for those to attend online via zoom.
One of our co-founders, 2024 CD-3 Congressional Candidate, Steve Welzer will introduce our Keynote Speaker - Ben Burgis. Ben is a Jacobin columnist, an adjunct philosophy professor at Rutgers University, and the host of the YouTube show and podcast "Give Them An Argument." He’s the author of several books, most recently Christopher Hitchens: What He Got Right, How He Went Wrong, and Why He Still Matters. Our “GREEN 13” candidate slate will be introduced ahead of the main draw, the 2024 Presidential Candidate Nomination.
Party affiliated registered Greens as of 4/19/2024 or dues paying Greens as of 5/03/2024 can participate in the Presidential Candidate Nomination process. Which will be conducted through a ranked-choice electronic ballot that must be requested through our website. Make sure to pay your annual $25 dues by Friday May 3rd, 5pm ET. Request your electronic ballot, vote for state leadership and any bylaws amendments. The presidential nominee that New Jersey chooses will be announced at 3-3:15pm this Saturday. If you are a registered Green in the State of NJ or a dues paying member 5/5/2023 – 5/5/2024, reside in New Jersey then complete this form below and you will receive a ballot to vote for a Presidential Candidate.
*All GPNJ Electronic Ballots must be cast by 5/4/2024 at 3:00 pm EST to be counted.*

Green Party Outraged at Police Violence Toward Campus Protests, Treatment of Jill Stein, and Campaign Team!
On Saturday, April 27th, campus police physically repressed and assaulted students and supporters during a peaceful pro-Palestinian demonstration on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Jill Stein, a candidate seeking the 2024 Green Party presidential nomination, was among those assaulted and arrested by police. The Green Party is outraged by the violence perpetrated on students and others exercising their First Amendment rights...

Green Party of NJ Welcomes to the “GREEN 13” Candidate Slate Jon Serrano for CD-10!
Jon is running and has the chance to be one of the youngest in history to be elected into Congress and our first Green! We need and deserve young, gay, Hispanic representatives like Jon who will stand up against the 1%! From, the climate crisis, to supporting the public education system, a woman’s right to choose, the rights of the LGBTQ+ community amongst many other positions.
Jon wants to use his voice to unite, not divide. He wants to remind everyone that we need to work and build together here in New Jersey! We welcome and support Jon in his bid for the 10th congressional district which just lost Donald Payne Jr. this week. We send our condolences and respects to the Payne Family during this tough and tragic time.

Green Party of NJ Welcomes & Endorses Justin Rucker for Paterson 4th Ward City Council!
Not only are we fielding the “GREEN 13” we are also proud to welcome Justin Rucker as our first endorsed local candidate running in 2024! He’s a lifelong resident of Paterson and has stepped up once more to run for 4th Ward Paterson City Council. His focus is on affordable housing with rent control, community education and outreach, neighborhood revitalization efforts along with advocating for better transportation and recreation programs for Paterson seniors.
Paterson still holds off-cycle election dates for their city council so Justin is getting out the vote everyday ahead of the May 14th election date! Message us or his campaign through their social media to donate or volunteer!

Thank you to everyone that has been attending various rallies across New Jersey and New York. It was beautiful to see students across college campuses unite for Palestinian peace despite their religion. The future truly lies in the hands of the youth willing to hold accountability off their educational institutions by all means necessary.
