Green Party candidates are making waves this year! Have you received your ballot already?
As you start to receive your sample ballots and consider casting your early, mail-in ballot votes the Green Party of New Jersey (GPNJ) presumes that you are tired of the same old choices at the poll every election cycle. These same, recycled and repurposed candidates from the Democrats and the Republicans that won't stop running in most cases, unless sadly, they pass away. Well we as a state party are tired as well!
As you start to receive your sample ballots and consider casting your early, mail-in ballot votes we presume that you are tired of the same old choices at the poll every election cycle. These same, recycled and repurposed candidates from the Democrats and the Republicans that won't stop running in most cases, unless sadly, they pass away. Well we as a state party are tired as well!
That’s why this election cycle we set out to create something historic, THE GREEN 13, a slate of Green Party of New Jersey candidates for U.S. House of Representatives in every New Jersey Congressional District and Christina Khalil, for U.S. Senate. With, Dr. Jill Stein for President and running mate Dr. Rudolph "Butch" Ware for Vice President at the top of the ticket!
Today we are asking for your support by donating to these amazing candidates and their campaigns
We aren't entitled to have access to the revised ballot structure like in the Democratic primaries, but wanted to make sure you would have representation this year by seeing our candidates line up on the ballot you are starting to receive (as we originally thought, read more below.)
Here is an example from Ben Taylor, CD-9 Candidate, to see how we appear on his ballot this year, in "columns or rows."
Now, here is an example from Robin Brownfield, CD-1 Candidate, to see how Camden County messed up their layout to disenfranchise us. So make sure to check your ballot carefully before casting your vote for the Green Party candidates.
With this slate, GPNJ can advocate for its 10 Key Values. Since the 1990s, the Green Party has been the party of peace, against war and imperialism. Aside from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, for almost a year, we have seen a genocide and ethnic cleansing committed in Gaza. Now that conflict is spilling into Lebanon which leads to more innocent civilian casualties.
GPNJ is the only party determined to work to address the climate catastrophe as part of a Real Green New Deal. Our hearts go out to friends and family recovering from Hurricane Helene. GPNJ is fighting for affordable housing and believes in universal rent control, improved and expanded Medicare4All, a cancellation of student debt and getting big money out of politics. We support immigrants and refugees and will work on restructuring the immigration system so it is just and provides for the needs of newcomers to the U.S., a more humane alternative to that of either Trump or Harris.
In addition to the issues above, GPNJ is committed to stopping the corruption in our political system, we do that by not taking corporate PAC money or money from superPACs. This is why we are appealing to you today, any amount will help defray the costs of their final materials and lawn signs. We pledge to truly represent the people and hope you will vote for our candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives, for U.S. Senate and for President. Every single voter in New Jersey will have that opportunity on November 5 for the first time this generation!
Please consider donating to all our campaigns individually through the campaigns social media accounts below or directly to GPNJ.
