Our agenda will include a vote by Green Party members in City Council District 38 (Red Hook & Sunset Park) to grant authorization to Carmen Hulbert, recent Green and longtime labor organizer, to run as our candidate for City Council.

We will also discuss the GPNY decision to promote the New York Health Bill as our new state-wide issue campaign and how our county can bring awareness about single payer health care to the streets of Brooklyn!

The New York State Assembly has done the right thing and voted to pass the New York Health Act and now it’s time for the Senate to do its job. Come out to rally and DEMAND that Sen. Marty Golden use his position on the New York Health Committee to release the bill (S4840) from committee for a floor vote. The legislative session ends in just a few weeks and New Yorkers deserve universal, single-payer healthcare.
