As you may have heard, I am again seeking the Green Party nomination for governor, both to #DemandMore from our government in response to the ecological, economic and social crises we face, and to win the votes we need to retain our party's ballot line and keep running local candidates across our state.

I'm thrilled to share with you now that Special Education Teacher, education justice organizer and teachers union member Jia Lee has agreed to run for Lt. Governor on the Green Party ticket, as my running mate.

Will you join Jia as she announces her campaign this Wednesday at 3:30pm on the south side of Union Square?

I will be there to support Jia's campaign launch, and we will follow her announcement with a special organizing meeting just a few blocks away at Mercy Bar (129 E 15th St, New York, NY 10003 in the upstairs room). So we welcome you to attend even if you can't be there right at 3:30pm!

I had the honor of running with teacher Brian Jones four years ago, and our campaign accomplished much. I could not be happier that, once again, the Green Party of New York will have a Teamster and Teacher at the top of ticket in 2018!

Jia's tireless work in and out of the classroom to ensure a fully-funded, quality education for every student is an inspiration to me, and I know she will inspire you too.
