I could not be happier with this morning's NY-19 Congressional Debate, hosted by the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce. Audience reaction was phenomenal -- especially considering that unlike the two major party candidates, I had no entourage. Many people came up to speak with me afterwards, and I was most pleased when staff of the major regional medical consortium told me my health insurance plan was the way to go.
There were opportunities to bring up the Green Party, in my opening remarks, and closing remarks, as well as a few times during question responses.
WAMC's reporter gave me coverage fully on par with the other candidates, and said on the radio that she'd seen several people standing at the back nodding, and mouthing "he's right" several times throughout the hour. Thanks to Radio Kingston for their live broadcast. Here's the video archive. I hope you enjoy it.
