Are you serious about honest voting?
Election justice is a topic that has been circulating in public discussions as of late. Folks are unhappy with questionable practices on behalf of Election Inspectors such as using a waste can for votes in Ionia or huge discrepancies with vote totals in Detroit.
Jill Stein spearheaded a recount of last year's election. Michiganders across the state are calling for electoral reforms including an end to gerrymandering of voting districts.
As Greens, we must all stand for election justice and that is why I am encouraging you to become an Election Challenger for the Green Party and participate in observing the upcoming elections in Flint. Flint has more than five dozen polling locations. It's not realistic to think we can cover them all in this election. Therefore, we will be sending appointed challengers to the most critical polling locations in the city, to ensure that election workers conduct the election in an ethical, fair and impartial manner.
We need volunteers to request appointment and volunteer on Election Day, November 7th. AM and PM shifts will be available. To participate, you must be a registered voter and be available on Election Day.
Please join us this Saturday morning at the White Horse Tavern for a meeting about becoming an Election Challenger. Learn how you can discover and prevent fraudulent practices by election officials and voters and ensure that our elections are held in an ethical and transparent manner.
Please visit the official Facebook event for the meeting to RSVP.
If you have any questions, feel free to call me at (810) 553-6050
Thanks for all that you do to support the Green Party and our shared values.
Kind Regards,
