Ballot Access Update & Statewide Video Conference
Ballot Access Update
I have a correction to information previously stated about turning in petition forms. All of the petition forms should be taken to the county voter registration offices in which county they are filled out. For instance, I will be taking any forms that are completed here in Marion County to the Marion County Board of Voter Registration Office.
If you are not aware of the location of your county voter registration office, there is a complete listing on the back page of the VRG-7 Indiana Voter Registration Form on the in.gov website.
Hopefully, I haven't created too much confusion! My initial intent was to keep better track of where we stand throughout the petition drive. So keep a signature tally for yourself and your local group, let us know how many you've turned in, and we'll keep getting signatures up to the July 2 deadline!
As far as the best practice for gathering signatures, that I can tell: go to as many local events as possible, ones where there may be people of like-minded persuasions. If possible, have more than one person gathering signatures at each event, and position yourselves at entrances and traffic areas where it's easiest to talk to people of our "Green Values!"
Keep at it. We can do this! Volunteer if you're able – we need the help.
Statewide Video Conference
On Saturday, January 20th the Indiana Green Party will conduct its first of many statewide video conferences.
We are having a video conference via Skype with local green parties across the state in an effort not only to interact and ask questions, but to synchronize efforts and events.
The statewide video conference is a recurring event. It will occur on the 4th Saturday of each odd numbered month (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov) at 2:30pm (EST). Local groups are encouraged to physically rally together to participate in the meetings as a group.
Use this link https://join.skype.com/xUHV4CqDv89y to join the Skype Indiana Green Party General Meeting Space. If by chance this meeting space gets too small, there are other alternatives available that we can use. Send questions and praise to the Green Party of Northeast Indiana for leading this event.
