Join Us in Solidarity: Support the Class Action Lawsuit by Taxpayers Against Genocide!

The Green Party of California has endorsed a powerful class action lawsuit initiated by Taxpayers Against Genocide (TAG). We are proud to have our own Green Party member, Tarik Kanaana, as one of the founding members of this important legal effort. 

This lawsuit originally targeted Congress members Mike Thompson and Jared Huffman for their role in allocating $26.38 billion in military aid to Israel, which the plaintiffs argue supports acts of genocide against the Palestinian people.

Recently, the lawsuit was amended and expanded to include all California Senators and Representatives within the Northern District of California.The updated suit now includes Representatives who voted to allocate the $26.38 billion on April 20, 2024. Defendants will include Senators Alex Padilla and former Senator, Laphonza Butler, who both voted for this expenditure on April 23, 2024.
