Syracuse, NY – Happy Spring! We wanted to share a few upcoming events with you to support various efforts in and around Syracuse.
Thursday March 28, Phonebank For The NY Health Act
This last year has seen a massive surge in support for guaranteed healthcare in New York State and across the nation. The New York Health Act—our state universal single payer bill—passed the Assembly for the fourth consecutive year in 2018 and a majority of NYS Senators have voiced support for the legislation. In Congress, the House has announced public hearings for Medicare for All. This is a historic moment in the fight for the right to healthcare and an important time to mobilize our communities into action.
This phone banking mission is to generate calls to elected officials throughout the region encouraging them to support the NY Health Act. We'll also be inviting New York Health supporters to participate in upcoming local events. Please plan to bring your cell phone. We'll provide lists and a script! Please RSVP if you will come lend a hand with calls.
