The next meeting of the Green Party of Nassau County will be devoted to the New York Health Act. The NYHA is an active bill in the NYS Legislature that will bring single payer health care to our state. The meeting will feature the screening of a short film: HEALTHCARE CONSPIRACY; A 22-minute mockumentary about two intrepid reporters blowing the lid off a wild conspiracy involving multiple industries and governments siphoning billions of dollars from the public who are suffering both physically and financially … that everyone already knows about: the healthcare industry.

The film will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A. Speakers/Panelists include: Gloria Mattera, Co-Chair of Green Party New York, and Daniel Lugassy, MD, Emergency Medicine Physician. 

This meeting, featuring the film and discussion, is scheduled for Thursday, February 19, 2026, 7:00 PM. The meeting will be in-person at the Freeport Memorial  Library. We are hoping to make it a hybrid meeting--also on Zoom. As soon as we know if we can do a hybrid meeting we will let everyone know.
