North Carolina Greens Statewide Meeting
I'm writing to remind you that the North Carolina Green Party (NCGP) Fall/Winter Gathering is just two weeks away. Join us for music, food, refreshments, and radical politics December 7-9 at the Seedbed in Mebane. This is our first statewide gathering after our four historic Green Party campaigns, in which we earned over 100,000 votes. We're the first progressive/left party to be on the ballot in North Carolina since the 1980s!
This December, we're holding our meeting at the beautiful Seedbed venue in rural Mebane. This is the same location where we held our 2017 Fall and Winter Gatherings. The Seedbed is the former location of the Stone House retreat center.
Brief Schedule of Events:
Friday, Dec. 7, 7:00 p.m.:
We'll begin Friday at 7:00 p.m. for an informal social event, with a solo performance at 9:00 p.m. by folk musician and NCGP member Anna Lee Dillon. Celebrate our four inaugural campaigns in our first year on the ballot and enjoy some radical conversation, music, and an hors d'oeuvres potluck and refreshments.
Saturday, Dec. 8, 9:00 am.:
Onsite breakfast at 9:00 a.m. The business meeting is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with dinner onsite or offsite to follow.
Sunday, Dec. 9, 10:00 a.m.:
We'll host a planning, strategy, and organizing discussion from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The NCGP will provide brunch.
Limited onsite lodging is available at the Seedbed Friday and Saturday nights. Suggested donation of $25 is highly encouraged for lodgers. To book a bed, please contact NCGP secretary Katie Coleman at [email protected]. Please note that reservations are necessary because space very is limited. There are no private rooms. (Also contact Katie to sign up for the potluck.)
Several hotel/motel options are also available. Click here for a list of motel/hotel options near the Seedbed.
NCGP members and nonmember supporters are both encouraged to attend, though only dues-paid members may vote on party business during Saturday's meeting. A detailed agenda will be emailed to NCGP members, then posted on our website. Visit our Membership Page to become a member.
This event is open to the public. Suggested donations of $25 to the NCGP are welcome at our Donate Page to help cover expenses.

A friendly word from one of our 2018 candidates, Lilly Taylor, who received over 93,000 votes for Mecklenberg Soil & Water Board.
Hello, my name is Lilly Taylor, and I am sending this thank you to everyone who has worked on or supported my campaign! I certainly could not have embarked on this amazing journey without the support of the North Carolina Green Party, of which I am a proud member!
I ran for Mecklenberg Soil & Water to raise our platform of protecting our ecosystems. I have been involved in activism and community organizing against the Atlantic Coast Pipeline, Dakota Access Pipeline, and Duke Energy's rate hikes and coal ash pollution. Most recently, I used my campaign to speak out about lead contamination in our school system's drinking water.
I encourage all of you who believed in my campaign and our platform to JOIN the NC Green Party as an official dues-paying and voting member, or support us by donating to our drive to pay for our statewide Fall/Winter Gathering and expenses.
I'm looking forward to joining many more exciting campaigns, journeys, and events with all of you! See you in Mebane.
Thanks for your continued support, and I hope to see you in Mebane Dec 7-9 at the Fall/Winter Gathering and celebration!
Solidarity!
Michael Trudeau
