State Assemblyman Dan Stec, R-Queensbury, and Green Party challenger Robin Barkenhagen have agreed to participate in a televised debate that will be filmed at 9 a.m. Oct. 20 and broadcast on WNCE Look-TV of Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls, Barkenhagen announced and Stec confirmed on Wednesday.

Former Saratoga Springs Mayor Michael Lenz, host of the Look TV "Beyond the Headlines" program, will be moderator.

"I am looking forward to discussing the issues," said Barkenhagen, a retail shop owner and musician from Glens Falls.

"We're glad to be doing that," Stec said.

There is not Democratic candidate in the race.
