First, our sincere thanks to all of you who helped with petitioning, whether it was out in the street collecting signatures, spreading the word on social media or sending in a donation. The Green Party of New York (GPNY) accepted the challenge of collecting 45,000 valid signatures, which meant at least 25,000 over that, to place Jill Stein on the ballot for the Green Party. We were not going to be defeated just because Cuomo and the Democratic majority State Legislature stole our ballot line by passing a change in the election law under the cover of the pandemic. 

We came so close - handing in over 42,000 signatures collected by local volunteer petitioners with help from Greens from PA, VA, MA, CT, RI (and even ME!), along with paid petitioners hired by GPNY and the Stein campaign. In total, over $300,000 was spent, with $36,000 from GPNY thanks to your generous support. We missed the mark, but it was a tremendous effort because of each and every one of us.

It is not over. GPNY is co-plaintiff in a lawsuit challenging several undemocratic ballot access laws. Stay tuned for updates. 

We are just 45 Days and counting until the General Election and we are all in on an official write-in campaign for the Green Party presidential ticket -- Jill Stein and Rudolph Ware.

We need your help to promote the write-in campaign on social media and in your neighborhoods.  Our goal is to have 130,000 write-in votes for Stein/Ware - the number of votes now required to give the Green Party of New York a ballot line again. A statewide Get Out the (Write-in) Vote effort means producing materials, coordinating volunteers and hosting local events.
