Green Party announces press conference schedule at 2024 Green Convention

WASHINGTON, DC — The Green Party will hold several press conferences during the course of the party's 2024 Presidential Nominating Convention, which will take place Thursday, August 15, to Sunday, August 18.

The convention will be held virtually on Zoom and simulcast on various social media sites. The press conferences will feature national Green leaders, 2024 Green candidates and officeholders, and the party's national nominees.
Schedule of press conferences:
Thursday, August 15
• Introductory press conference at 5 pm ET featuring party officials and convention organizers
Friday, August 16: Press conferences featuring Green candidates for state and local office and Green officeholders, participants to be announced
• 10 am ET: Green Party candidates for local and state offices
• 11 am ET: Green Party candidates for federal office
• 1 pm ET: Green Party officeholders
Saturday, August 17
• Press conference with the Green presidential and vice-presidential nominees following the nomination, expected to be around 5 pm
Follow-up news advisories will announce the names of the Green candidates and officeholders who will speak at the press conferences, as well as other updates. Members of the news media are invited to cover the convention's press conferences, the nomination (Saturday, August 17), and other events.
The Green Party encourages members of the media who are interested in covering the nomination, press conferences, and other events to register for media credentials.
During the nomination, there will be a virtual roll call of designated Delegation Reporters from affiliated state Green Parties and Green identity caucuses, as determined by convention procedure.
Margaret Kimberley, executive editor and senior columnist at Black Agenda Report and host of the Black Agenda Radio podcast, will be the keynote speaker on Saturday before the nomination.
The Green Party will also host online workshops and panels for convention registrants throughout the week.
