Rev. Annie Chambers 1942 – 2026

Rev. Annie was an icon and a hell of an amazing warrior and Friend.
You see I knew Annie since I was 18 years old and I would come and sleep on her couch and she would share all of her daily battles with me. I remember all the demonstrations and marches with her and most importantly Annie had something that others didn't. She knew how to survive no matter how poor she was. Something that I learned from. You see some people said they were poor and they really weren't and they still had access to many different privileges. Not to do no pecking order thing. But I'm keeping it 💯.
Some of us know how to survive on two pieces of bread and still share a piece. That was Annie. She shared everything she had while others with abundance don't. She also had ethics and integrity. I remember her calling me up and telling me you will always be my daughter no matter what others say. Wrong is wrong and right is right. She ran for political office and called out the Democrats even when many others sold their souls to the Democrats in the anti poverty movement. She understood you can not dismantle the masters house with the masters tools more than anyone I knew. Annie
I love you and everyone In the Poor People’s Army was privileged to know and fight along side you! ❤️
