2016 Presidential and Vice Presidential Nominees Jill Stein and Ajamu Baraka to appear at Green Party of RI Regional Summit This December

For the past 25 years, the Green Party of Rhode Island has been an active force in New England politics both in the ballot box and in the streets. Now we are going to mark the occasion in a historic and important way.

On Saturday, December 2, from 1:00 – 5:00  pm at Bell Street Chapel in Providence, the Green Party of Rhode Island will be holding our 25th Anniversary Celebration and New England Regional Summit. Keynote addresses will be given by our 2016 Presidential and Vice Presidential nominees, Dr. Jill Stein and Ajamu Baraka.

The event is guided by the following three dictates:

1. We are uniting as a Green Party in solidarity to recognize 25 years of dedication, commitment, and hard work so to plan for the future.
2. Peace, ecology, social justice, and democracy define our efforts.
3. Let us therefore stand together to build a better, safer, saner world in 2018 and beyond.

In this sense the Green Party of Rhode Island is inviting Greens, Green voters, and progressives from across the region and nation to attend and help us mark this special occasion. Tickets are now available. In order to defray costs for the organizers and build a stronger event, we are currently holding a fundraiser. This summit will honor the memory of Greens who have passed away, honor the achievements of those still with us who have done so much to build the party over the years, and work to further construct and develop our base moving forward by recognizing local individuals and organizations that best exemplify our 10 Key Values in daily life and their activism.
