Meet with the Rochester Black Panthers
Rochester, NY – Join the Green Party of Monroe County for our February Monthly Meeting, where we'll join members of the Rochester Black Panther Party to discuss the history of the Black Panther Party and what is currently happening here in Rochester.
We'll also be discussing the 2019 local elections and the role both the Black Panthers and Greens can play in them.
Thursday, February 14th, 7-9pm.
Flying Squirrel Community Space
285 Clarissa Street, Rochester, NY
As always, our meetings are free and open to the public. The Squirrel is wheelchair accessible.
Speaking of the 2019 local elections, due to the primary elections being moved to June in NYS, the petitioning period for everyone to get on the ballot now starts at the end of February. That means, if you're interested in running for local office, you need to get ready. The list of offices up for election are listed on the front page of our website at www.GPOMC.org.
If you're interested in running for one of these offices as a Green, email us at greenrochesterny at gmail.com and we'll help you get going.
There are already two declared Green candidates for local office. Dave Sutliff-Atias is running for City Council in the East District and Chris Edes is running for City Council in the Northeast District. Check out what they're doing!
For a viable Green Party in Monroe County we need you to get involved. Run for office. Help a campaign. Donate.
