After seeing both Democrats and Republicans sell out to donors and foreign lobbyists, I’ve had it with politics as usual. 

Let’s put Texans first, not big donors, and not foreign countries. 

I’m proud to be running as a Green Party candidate. Greens are working to build a new kind of politics, a new opposition party, and give voters an option for real representation that puts people first, not PACs, lobbyists, corporations, or billionaires. 

Texas Taxes have been used like a slush fund, with big contracts going to political allies and donors.

I believe the comptroller’s office must stand for:

• TEXAS FIRST: No foreign bonds with taxpayer dollars
  
  
• PEOPLE OVER PROFIT: No tax breaks for data centers
  
  
• FREE SPEECH: Repeal anti-BDS laws
  
  
• FAIRNESS: Unbiased school vouchers & state contracts
  
  
• ​FREEDOM: Texas Sheriffs for Texans - not ICE

My background is a little different for a Texas politician – I was born in America, raised in Pakistan, and am now raising my kids in Texas. I am a Muslim American and a Texas mom. I’m a graphic designer and podcaster, and I have a Master’s Degree in Strategic Communication. .  

With Islamophobic rhetoric reaching a fever pitch from many Texas politicians, I hope my candidacy demonstrates that Muslims care about the same things as other Texans: taxes, free speech, fairness, and freedom.
