Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR), the sadly still-needed worldwide event created to raise awareness about discrimination, violence and murder directed against all gender-diverse people and all people who step in any way outside gender stereotypes. The other parts of the mission of TDOR are to commemorate lives of people murdered in such violence, call out the interconnected oppressions behind the violence, show the solidarity of those of us who oppose hate crimes and who uphold gender diversity rights, and show our work to make a world where violence is less accepted and diversity is more accepted.
