These barbaric war crimes must end now
As the nightmare in Gaza enters its second year, the violence is spiraling out of control with the Netanyahu regime accelerating its ethnic cleansing of the people of Gaza.
Many of us have seen the traumatic images of innocents screaming in horror as they were being burned alive in the targeting of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. Among the victims was young medical student, Shaban Ahmade Al-Dalu, who had written these haunting words just days before his murder:
“I have never in my life seen anything more terrifying than the thought of a person’s death, their disappearance in a single moment, their sudden escape… And the impossibility of their return. The human mind, with all its vivid imagination and capacity for understanding and creation, stands helpless before this absence. Were it not for God’s mercy upon us, for our faith that this is His decree and our acceptance of it, we would surely lose our sanity.”
This young man had dreams of being a healer of the sick, only to have his dreams snatched away in the most horrific way imaginable.
We have borne witnesses to the most barbaric crimes against humanity in our lifetime - war crimes that could have been stopped by a single phone call from the Biden-Harris administration. Instead we’ve watched them send billions in aid, provide diplomatic cover for Israel, and peddle atrocity propaganda in service of allowing this carnage to continue.
We recently released a new ad aimed at letting voters know how to use the power of your vote to stop this genocide. Please watch now: Your vote: real power for people, planet and peace
Last week, CNN allowed a rare moment of truth to slip through their propaganda when News Central anchor Kate Bolduan referred to the situation in Gaza as “a desperate humanitarian crisis” and was swiftly corrected by Dr. Tanya Haj-Hassan, an American intensive care physician who volunteered for two weeks at the now destroyed Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central Gaza strip: “This is not a humanitarian crisis, Kate, and I’m going to say it very clearly for your viewers to hear: this is genocide.”
To cast a vote for either Harris or Trump would be to forsake our own humanity and enable genocide. We cannot condone the killing of Shaban Ahmade Al-Dalu and what is likely hundreds of thousands of innocent souls taken from us in this genocide.
The power is in our hands: we must stop this now by voting for Jill Stein and Rudolph "Butch" Ware, the only candidates who will end these barbaric crimes against humanity on day one.
As Gaza goes, we all go.
In solidarity and gratitude,
Team Stein/Ware 2024
