GPTX Reading Group
July 23rd will be the first meeting of our reading group! We're starting with a very important book that will help us in future discussions: Nonviolent Communication by Marshall B. Rosenberg. The ebook is free here and audio (5 hrs.) & physical versions (under 300 pgs.) may be available from your local library.
Check it out, read as much as you can by then & we'll discuss. And think of some other books you think are full of good knowledge, or that would at least start some good conversations. We'll add those to the list for this monthly meetup.

Volunteer Opportunities
To help boost our social media posting frequency, a project has begun - a content calendar. If you have a little free time to research a month or just a week or two, so we have a backup topic for each day, email [email protected] to help out. There's hundreds of days in the year, but the more help we have, the easier it'll be.
The position of Secretary has become available on the State Executive Committee, as well as several seats on the National standing committees. At the Spring State Meeting, we filled a few seats, but many remain open. If you’re interested in serving in one of these positions, or would like to help with a smaller project, tell us at [email protected].
Are you an artist? The donation of a logo design or graphic for merch would be a great help. A button-making party could be a great activity for your local group, but maybe you have other fun ideas. Let us know!
Action Highlight
It's getting PRETTY HOT, so you may also want to consider involvement with Texas Prisons Community Advocates, an organization working to make the climate in Texas prisons safer.
Visit TPCAdvocates.org for more info.
If you know other organizations that are putting our key values in action, send us the info so we can get the word out.
In Solidarity,
Green Party of Texas
