Susan Sutton and Jennifer Schnare will use the concepts of New Power, Next Generation Enterprise and Blitzscaling to set the context for a webinar on best practices and tactics to achieve successful planning, strategy and execution of political fundraising entitled Getting Started: Guide to Political Fundraising.

Specifically, this webinar will cover a high level overview of:

- basic groundwork
- logistics of processing donations
- supporter segmentation
- tactial approach to fundraising
- overview of fundraising events

Susan serves as Principal of S. Sutton & Associates Inc. an international consulting firm providing counsel and support to philanthropists and nonprofit organizations. During her 40+ year professional career Susan has established a track record of successful institutional advancement, developing and implementing fundraising campaigns and business operations to achieve multi-billion revenue goals from domestic and international clientele. Susan experience spans a variety of settings from small grassroots to large complex, public and private, academic, research and patient care institutions as well as national advocacy and membership organizations, with domestic and international audiences. Within the political arena Susan has a history in progressive politics, having held leadership positions in several significant campaigns in the U.S. at the local, state and national level, working primarily for candidates of color,LGBTQ and women.

Jennifer Schnare is a resourceful and results-driven leader with over sixteen years of success in shaping and leading the fundraising, marketing and communication strategies needed to realize organizational objectives. Jennifer’s career trajectory includes accomplishment-rich experience in fundraising for the not-for-profit sector, including international development, hospital foundation and healthcare organizations. She is an entrepreneurial thinker, building on traditional fundraising platforms and deploying creative solutions that deliver record-breaking results. A decisive and direct leader who sets high standards and thrives in challenging roles with a global scope, she led the fundraising efforts for UNHCR’s largest portfolio, Individual Giving; achieved transformational revenue growth (growing from $1.5 million to $8 million in two years).
