Winter Membership Meeting + Improv Comedy! – January 27
The Green Party of Minnesota winter membership meeting is a time for Greens from all over Minnesota to gather, socialize, make important decisions and learn together.
This year, Greens will have the unique opportunity to learn about current issues while being entertained by Minnesota's nationally-known local improv troupe with Danger Boat Productions.
Saturday, January 27, 2018
10:00 AM – 3:00 PM CST
East Side Neighborhood Services
1700 2nd St NE, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55413
This group of improvisational comedians uses intelligent humor to reframe complex policy issues. Working with "hard, thinky stuff" around issues such as single-payer health care (Healthcare for All Minnesotans) and $15 minimum wage (15Now), Danger Boat will engage with these groups and with Green Party members to show how humor can give people a new perspective on difficult policy issues.
In addition to the Danger Boat improv performance, the agenda for the winter membership meeting includes election of several at-large interim CC seats and GPUS delegates/alternates, and an opportunity to begin preparing for the platform-amendment process that will be the main business of the summer meeting in June 2018.
Bring food to share and your own mug. Beverages, snacks, compostable plates and dinnerware will be provided.
Please mark your calendar! This meeting is not to be missed!
